FIGHTING back from two goals down, Royston Town survived a scare against Blackstones on Tuesday to progress into round two of the Hitchingbrooke Cup.
The Crows recovered from falling surprisingly behind to level the game at 2-2 thanks to strikes from Lee Wilson and Tom Malins to send the game into extra-time.
Goals from Ross Collins and Matt Standen saw off the Stones’ challenge but the Stamford-based outfit did score again to leave the final result at 4-3.
In round two, Royston will travel to play Eynesbury Rovers, the date is yet to be announced.
