Royston Youth U9 Colts have booked their place in the final of the Mid Herts Rural Minors League Divisional Cup.

In a thrilling semi-final against Cheshunt, Royston’s defence had to work hard and Daniel Herd, Toby Pendrick and George Smith played some brilliant defensive football.

Jake Emmett, Alfie Smith, Henry Hall, Aeron Alexander, Toby Howard-Jones and captain Harry Ogilvie all worked incredibly hard and remained determined, while throughout the second half Royston goalkeeper Tom Green made some brilliant saves to keep his side ahead.

The victory puts Royston through to the final, to be played at Barnet FC’s The Hive stadium on May 6.
