Under-16s Division One

ON a rock hard pitch, neither side impressed in a dour struggle at Hitchin.

The home team attempted to field an unregistered goalkeeper but were prevailed upon to withdraw him, however the Templars failed to trouble his replacement in the first half.

After the break, with Joe Parker adding some muscle to the attack, the breakthrough came when Ben Jones got on the end of a long ball.

In the last quarter of an hour several other chances were missed and Templars were on top at the end.
