Under-10s League Trophy

ROYSTON Town Youth's B team, led by an inspirational man-of-the-match display by Matthew Bailey, progressed to the second round of the League Trophy with a great all-round team performance against Hitchin Town Youth Greens.

Striker Bruce Barnes had his shooting boots on scoring a well-taken hat-trick and Lewis Anderson and Jack Davis notched one each following some tricky and exciting wing play.

Solid defending by Joe Burn and Lewis Mansfield and some good goalkeeping by Rory Hunter kept the Hitchin strikers' chances to a minimum.

The final score was 5-1 to Royston.
