THE third Royston and District Angling Club President's Cup match, including the pairs match, was fished at Meldreth, in conjunction with Rugby Cement AC and Eternit AC.

Eternit's Dave Saunders led the 23-man field with a catch of 10lbs 8oz, comfortably ahead of Royston's Mike Braybrooke with 4lbs 10.5oz.

Tony Green finished third with 4lbs 4oz, ahead of Royston junior Ryan Jarvis on 2lbs 14oz.

The pairs match was won by Tony Green and John King with 4lbs 14oz, beating Andy Jarvis and Mike Braybrooke by 0.5oz.

A beginners' day will be held at Thriplow Reservoir, on Saturday, from 10am-5pm.
