Angler Palmer takes match and league win

The final league match for Royston Angling Club at Thriplow on Saturday was won by Ian Palmer with 7lb 8oz.

Second was Gareth Balitho with 5lb 4oz and third Jim Chamberlain with 4lb 4 1/2oz. The final league placings were Palmer 64 points, James Gillard 58 points and joint third Steve Speed and George Joyce with 46 points.

The next match at Thriplow is the Gordon Thomas Memorial match on Sunday, May 4, draw at 9am. Contact Mick Rivers on 01223 870189 for more information.
