Steve Castle believes Saturday’s goalless FA Trophy draw at Vanarama National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough has put Royston Town ‘on the map’.

Steve Castle’s Royston Town can look forward to a second bite of the cherry against higher-ranked Hampton & Richmond Borough in FA Trophy third round qualifying on Tuesday night after grinding out a goalless draw at the in-form Vanarama National League South outfit this afternoon (Saturday).

Goals from Ryan Ingrey, John Frendo and Ryan Towner saw Royston Town win 3-1 at Potters Bar Town and remain on top of Southern League Division One Central last night (Tuesday).

Southern League Division One Central leaders Royston Town sailed into the Herts Senior Cup second round after a 5-1 victory over Welwyn Garden City on Wednesday night.

Ryan Ingrey’s brace helped Royston Town ease into FA Trophy third round qualifying with a 4-0 triumph over Southern League Division One South & West side Wimborne Town at Garden Walk on Saturday.
