Last week I was out in my front garden, clearing away all the fallen leaves.

Two young girls were walking past, saw what I was doing, and offered to help. They ended up clearing away five big bags of leaves.

I just wanted to say thank you to the pair, who probably went to either Greneway or Meridian school. It is very unusual these days to find youngsters willing to stop and help an elderly lady like that, so thank you again.

There are plans for an expanded park and ride in Trumpington, but some are not happy about “nuisance” coaches arriving late at night and early in the morning.
