HELLO everyone, my name is Charlotte Town. That's my posh name really, so just call me Phoebe from the B and B.

I just cannot understand why Jill Marshall complains about the lack of rural transport here in Post Wobegon.

I travel between four and five miles most days without any problems.

I suppose it can be said that you need to know the right people and, of course, Sunny the pony.

Please observe that I occupy the passenger seat on the management's two-seater carriage. The boss stands on the back, in postilion position so they tell me.

I am, of course, part of the management at the B and B. I greet the customers, children and pets are very welcome.

I don't join them for a full English breakfast as I am told that I will get fat. A small Bonio is my lot so otherwise I just sit around looking decorous.

We went to a pub up in Cheshire some time back. Do you mind if we bring a dog in, asked boss man and the missus, polite gentlefolk as they are. A Cavalier King Charles spaniel is allowed anywhere, was the reply.

I wouldn't disagree on that, but the sad fact is that we haven't been in a pub since then.

The reason for that is quite simple. Pubs are just like village shops they are getting fewer and further, but there again if you move in the right circles there will always be a drink on board.

I am sorry that we could not quite get Sunny the pony in the picture.

If you have any opinions on this just drop me a line. Meanwhile, happy Easter everybody.
