I knew George Langridge very well having played many rounds with him, along with Ernie Cain, Reg Kemp, and others before the War and as members of the then Artisan Golf Club.

The man at the extreme right was Charlie Shepherd, a Barber and renowned scratch golfer. Charlie's shop was in a basement at the top of the High Street. I believe the man third from left in the front row was Horace Shepherd, Charlie's brother

I think the date might have been in the late 1940's, if not, then certainly in the early 1950's.
