Young talented dancers from Royston put their best foot forward when they began rehearsals for a professional ballet production of Sleeping Beauty.

Royston’s Amy Barker, 10, Shannelle Jacklin, 10, Hazel List Shipsey, 11, Rosie Tustain, 10 from Ashwell, and nine-year-old Orla Swann who goes to Roysia Middle School, will join internationally acclaimed dancers on the stage for the English Youth Ballet production at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage next month.

The girls were chosen as part of a cast made up of some of the most talented young dancers from Hertfordshire.

Principal dancer Amy Drew said “Rehearsals are going very well. It is wonderful having such talented young people all in the same place.”

Tickets for the show, which runs from Thursday to Saturday, October 15 to 17, can be purchased at the Box Office 01438 363200 or online at www.gordon-craig.co.uk.
