Emergency services were called to a fire in Whittlesey


A 52-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a serious house fire in Royston on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to house fire in Willowside Way at around 9.15pm. No-one was inside and the fire was extinguished with a jet and a hosereel.

The woman, who is from Royston, was arrested on Sunday morning, questioned and released on bail pending further inquiries. She will appear at Stevenage Police Station on September 1.
