A 43-year-old man suffered serious head injuries after the quad bike he was riding overturned in a country road on Friday night.

The incident happened in Damask Green Road, Weston, at 9pm. The driver of the machine, who came from the village, was initially taken to Lister Hospital but was later transferred to a specialist hospital in London where it is believed the man remains in a serious condition.
