A 25-year-old motorcyclist has suffered ‘life-changing’ injuries after colliding with a van today (Thursday).

The incident happened on the A10 at the junction with Dunsbridge Turnpike, Shepreth at around 2pm when a motorbike hit a grey Ford van.

The rider, a man, landed around 30 metres away from this bike and suffered serious leg injuries.

He was later air lifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

The northbound side of the road was closed while the two vehicles were recovered.

Police and a land ambulance also attended the scene.

HART Paramedic Edward Watt, who attended the scene said: “We arrived to help the ambulance crews control the area and the man had suffered serious leg injuries. He was taken by land to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with an escort from the EAAA.”

  • The issue is the impatience of the motorists pulling out and then mis-judging the speed of the traffic. They often pull out expecting the car already on the A10 to slow down
