Two car crash takes out A505 lamppost

TWO cars collided on the A505 on Friday taking out a lamppost.

Police were called to reports of a crash involving a grey BMW and silver Vauxhall Zafira on the roundabout near Royston’s Little Chef restaurant at 8.18am.

The BMW careered into the lamppost leaving it at a 45 degree angle with wires exposed.

Hertfordshire Highways was called to make it safe and police say the incident was over by 10.27am.
