Three-car smash on A1(M) causes traffic chaos

A THREE-CAR collision on the A1(M) has caused delays for commuters around Royston this morning (Wednesday).

The smash took place at around 7.18am between junction 7-6 on the southbound carriageway, all the vehicles needed to be recovered.

There were queues coming out of Royston for several hours.

Two BMW 525s and a Vauxhall Zaphira were involved and Herts Police say there were no serious injuries.

The incident is currently being dealt with but roads are being cleared.
