Staff at a pub in Therfield are overjoyed after being crowned the best pub in Hertfordshire at a ceremony last week.

The Fox and Duck in The Green was crowned the pub of the year at the prestigious Hertfordshire Food and Drink Awards 2016.

Pub landlord Ivan Titmuss toasted the success and said: “This is on top of our success last year when we won the best service award, second best gastro pub and third-best restaurant in Hertfordshire.

“This is without doubt the highlight of three-and-a-half years of hard work and dedication for myself and my team.

“It’s an amazing feeling to win this award and we will continue to strive forward and be the best we can.”
