FAMILIES put on their skates and glided on ice on Friday when Millfield School in Buntingford transformed their hall into an 'ice rink'.

The fun-filled event was held by the Parent and Teacher Association (PTA).

Karen Wagstaff, deputy head, said: "It had been a very popular event in past years and always sold out so we decided to hold it again.

"Everyone really enjoyed themselves and it is something we would like to do again.
