A PLAN to build 56 homes on a site in Royston is expected to be given the go-ahead by North Herts District Council's Royston area committee on Wednesday.

Planning officers have recommended approval of a scheme to demolish Heath House in Princes Mews, Royston, and develop the site.

Royston Town Council's planning committee had objected to the scheme, saying it was over-development of the site.

Members had concerns about a change of use of the land as it was seen as a key commercial site.
