A two-car crash left two people trapped in their vehicle this morning (Wednesday).

Emergency services were called to the junction between Kingsway and Serby Avenue in Royston following a crash between two vehicles which left two people trapped in their overturned car.

Fire crews from Baldock and Royston used cutting equipment to free them from the car. There were no serious injuries but three people required first aid treatment at the scene.

The cars involved were a silver Vauxhall Astra and a silver Hyundai i30.
