More than £500 was raised when dog walkers took part in a charity stroll from Royston Heath to the Fox and Duck in Therfield and back.

The charity walk was organised to raise money for Romanian dog rescue charity Barking Mad.

Evelyn Marchant, who organised the event with Tanya Godfrey, said: “I’d like thank all walkers and sponsors and say a big thank you for donations for raffle prizes from local businesses such as the Fox and Duck, Tesco, R.E.Rolphs Garden and Pet Supplies, and Royston Vetinary Centre.

“We are still getting donations but currently have more than £500 to send to our rescue.”
