A SCHOOL is to remember a former headteacher who died last month with a memorial bench.

Peter Fielden, who was headteacher at Roysia Middle School for 10 years, died suddenly in April at the age of 61.

A spokesman for the school said: “Following several requests, in memory of Peter Fielden, the previous headteacher, we are collecting to buy a memorial bench to be placed on the school site.”

Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so via the school office in person, or by post to The Peter Fielden Memorial Fund, Roysia Middle School, Burns Road, Royston, SG8 5EQ.
