The BuildTrain site in Lower Gower Road is the venue for the next Repair Café this Sunday. From 10am to 1pm, owners can bring their broken items in for free assessments and, where possible, free fixes.

This is the 15th fixture in the Repair Café series, and since the first in February 2014 the team has repaired about 50 per cent of about 500 items brought in.

BuildTrain founder Peter Jones loves to give advice on building problems, so he’s keen to support the community repair initiative.

He said: “We’re delighted to be hosting the latest Repair Cafe. We share a passion for promoting traditional skills, helping people to save money, and creative problem-solving.

“Like a great mortise and tenon joint, this could be a very strong combination.”
