Royston fight sees three arrested and one taken to hospital for serious face injuries

Three men have been arrested and one man was taken to hospital for serious injuries to his face after a fight broke out in Royston in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called at 12.44am on Sunday to reports of an altercation between two groups of men in Market Hill.

A man aged in his 20s sustained serious injuries to his face during the incident and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on bail. A 27-year-old man from Litlington has been bailed until Thursday and a 22-year-old man from Royston and a 21-year-old man from Arrington have been bailed until April 21.

Investigations are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
