A TEENAGE girl who died after being struck by a train at Meldreth station has been named..

British Transport Police have named the victim as Janine Harder, 19, of Cambridge.

An inquest into her death has been opened an adjourned at Cambridge Coroner's Court.

She died last Wednesday (April 22) after being struck by the 3.21pm Hitchin to Cambridge train. The incident occurred at the foot crossing near the station.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
