NORTH Herts East MP Oliver Heald has pledged to “value the natural heritage” of Royston after meeting with a local nature conservation organisation.

Mr Heald met with Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust chairman Mike Master at the House of Commons last week, in an event aimed at highlighting the value of funding nature.

“It was great to hear how the Trust projects have brought benefits to wildlife and people locally,” said Mr Heald.

“The Trust has several reserves in my constituency such as land on Royston Heath, the chalk pit in Royston and Ashwell Springs, so I look forward to the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust and the Heritage Lottery Fund continuing to work together to protect and restore nature and to help people engage with the natural world.”
