MODEL railway enthusiasts are on the right track after a successful show.

The Royston & District Model Railway Club held its 21st annual exhibition at The Meridian School, Royston, on Saturday.

The event included 20 working track lay-outs, dioramas, public demonstrations and trade stalls, created and overseen by 50 club members.

The Temple Falls lay-out was voted best-in-show by the public.

About 600 people attended, including the Mayor of Royston, Cllr Peter Lill.

Club secretary Tony Noades said: "It was a really good day as far as we were concerned.

"The mayor seemed very impressed. We are already starting to organise next year's show."

Theclub holds weekly meetings at the Barley Town House, on Fridays from 8-10.30pm.
