A road is closed after a man crashed his car and fled the scene.

Police were called to Old Mill Court in Meldreth at around 11am after a man crashed a car into a telegraph poll and fled the scene.

The police are currently trying to locate the driver as the car is suspected to have been stolen.

He is described as white, 5ft 6in tall, stocky, in his early 20s with dark, shoulder-length hair and he was wearing a blue anorak.

BT workers are repairing the telegraph poll and Highways remain on the scene.
