A MAN has been killed in an industrial accident near Royston.

The man was working at Universal Builders Supply in Bassingbourn when he was killed on Monday.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called to a sudden death at work in Chestnut Lane, Bassingbourn on Monday at 4.15pm.

“Officers attended the scene and the matter is being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive.”

The company, based on Chestnut Lane, declined to comment.
