A man has died after an accident


AN elderly man was killed yesterday (Wednesday) after being struck by a car near his Heydon home.

Donald Simpson, 78, of Barley Road received fatal injuries and police were called to the incident at 10.16am.

The driver of the car, a 34-year-old man from Haverhill, was not injured.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the roads policing unit on 101.
