A MAN from Royston has been charged with rape after an alleged attack on a woman in Royston a month ago. Robin Oakes of Swinburne Close, appeared at Stevenage Magistrates Court on Tuesday accused of raping a woman in her 20s as she walked through the Man

A MAN from Royston has been charged with rape after an alleged attack on a woman in Royston a month ago.

Robin Oakes of Swinburne Close, appeared at Stevenage Magistrates' Court on Tuesday accused of raping a woman in her 20s as she walked through the Manor House car park on Saturday, October 28.

Oakes, 43, was remanded in custody and will appear at Luton Crown Court on March 12.
