THE mayor presented 11 local groups with a share of his Community Trust Fund at the annual town meeting.

Cllr Beaver’s Community Trust yielded around £6,000 this year, half of which was donated to the groups.

Royston Electralites, Royston Tennis Club and the Ignite Youth Group, whose members had already been commended by the Community Service Awards, were amongst those rewarded.

There was also a share for the First Royston Scouts Group, the Five-O Table Tennis Club, Royston Rotary, the Town Twinning Association, the Royston 2012 Co-Ordinating Committee, the Royston Arts Society, the Royston Parish Church Flower Arrangers, and the Frank Letts Blind Fellowship.
