There is still time to submit your views on the proposal to merge Roysia, Greneway and Meridian schools in Royston – but you had better be quick.

Over the last few weeks the parents, pupils, staff and the community have been responding to the proposal put forward by the Royston Schools Academy Trust on October 20.

The proposal outlines plans to site all Royston pupils in years 5 to 13 at a new school in Garden Walk – where Greneway and Meridian are currently based.

An RSAT spokeswoman said: “The new ‘all through school’ aims to pool resources – financial, physical and staffing – to build on the current good school practices.”

Parents have the opportunity to meet members of the trust board at open sessions held at Roysia and Meridian, and to respond to the proposal in writing.

Any members of the community who still wish to add their response can do so by filling in the form online at bit.ly/RSATConsultation, emailing clerk@rsat.org.uk, or by posting or dropping in paper copies to the school offices, for the attention of RSAT clerk.

All responses must be received by 4pm on Friday.
