BUNTINGFORD residents are set to receive a town council newsletter for the first time this month.

The quarterly newsletter will be distributed to residents at the weekend.

Town clerk Jill Jones said: "The first newsletter will be more of a general thing about the town council.

"Hopefully as it goes on it will include more of what people want to see.

"I hope it will keep them informed because quite often something happens and you can't guarantee everyone is going to see it. But if this is delivered to every house we are sure everyone will be informed," she said.

The second issue will include an annual report with details of town council spending.
