Firefighters are about to go on strike across Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire tonight (Friday).

The Fire Brigades Union has called for its members across the UK to walk out between 6.30pm and 11pm, as a dispute over pensions continues.

A second strike is planned between 6am and 8pm on Monday, the day before Bonfire Night.

Contingency plans have been put in place during the strikes to deal with 999 calls.
