Groups invited to apply for Round Table cash

ROYSTON Round Table is appealing to groups in the town to help it spend money collected on its Santa runs over Christmas.

The Round Table’s float was out and about during the festive period, with Santa paying visits to children in Royston and several villages. Money raised by the Round Table, with the help of the Royston Ladies Circle, totalled £4,451.

Mark Parish, from the Royston Round Table, said: “I can only thank the people of Royston, who have stepped up and given very generously in these difficult economic circumstances. We are really grateful for their support and are looking forward to hearing from local people and groups who need help.”

The Round Table is also on the look-out for new members.

Mr Parish said: “Any young men interested in seeing what we do and perhaps getting involved are more than welcome. Either send us an email or come along to one of our meetings.”
