Rush-hour trains on the Great Northern line between Hitchin and Cambridge are being affected by a signalling fault at Foxton – but the delays are now expected to begin to ease as all lines have reopened.

Routes on the Great Northern line have been affected by a fault with the signalling system, with services running between Royston and Cambridge cancelled, delayed or revised as a result. Trains further afield have been running at a reduced speed.

Replacement bus services have been in place between Royston and Cambridge, but the earlier problem – Network Rail’s responsibility – has now been rectified.

Disruption is expected until at least 7pm.

Greater Anglia and London Underground are conveying customers via any reasonable route until further notice.
