Ashwell primary school pupil James Merrell will be starring alongside one of his teachers, Tracy Young in the Ashwell Theatre Club production of ‘Dick Whittington’.

James is starring as Dick’s cat, Halle and Tracy as Whittington. Connie Chambers, chairman of Ashwell Theatre Club, who are staging the production, said: “James is at pains to point out though that this does not make him a teacher’s pet.”

The production can be seen at Ashwell village hall on December 5, 6, 7. For ticket details and performance times, visit www.ashwelltheatre.co.uk.
