Emergency services attended the scene of a fire today (Thursday) after a large stack of straw bales caught alight.

Police and fire crews were called to a track a quarter of a mile off the Baldock Road, on the junction for Crescent Road, Cottered at 2.25pm.

A large stack of straw bales had caught fire and were well alight.
