Members of Green Room Productions recreated scenes from the celebrated Cliff Richard movie to publicise their show at the Wyllyotts Theatre this week.

Theatre-lovers are in for a raucous ride through Europe on board a big, red London bus in a feelgood stage musical of the 1963 film.

It’s the story of four young mechanics, who borrow a London bus and set off on a jaunt through Paris, the Alps, Italy and Greece.

Along the way they rescue three stranded girls and a young American pop star on the run.

All without leaving the stage of the Wyllyotts Theatre!

The youngsters sing their way to Greece in a hit-filled score, which includes Bachelor Boy, Living Doll, The Young Ones, Move It, Dancing Shoes and, of course, title track Summer Holiday.

James Yank plays Don, the role made famous by Cliff Richard in the movie version.

Getting a big red bus onto the Wyllyotts stage created quite a challenge for the Green Room team.

You can see how they managed it from tomorrow (Tuesday) to Saturday, May 5, with performances each evening at 7.30pm as well as an extra Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Following their hit productions of Oliver! and The Producers at Wyllyotts, the Green Room cast members are confident of another success with a show that is designed to entertain and will have the audience singing along, right to the end of the crazy journey.

Tickets cost from £14 to £17 and are available from the Green Room box office on 07531 122206.
