IT looked like bed time at Millfield School in Buntingford as pupils put on their pyjamas and enjoyed some stories.

The youngsters' mums were invited to school to read bedtime stories with their children.

The day was part of the school's overall reading development, and there will be a different activity every month.

Head Teacher Kathy Willett said: "The children really enjoyed the reading and so did their mums.

"The pupils loved dressing up in their pyjamas, and with 90 parents coming in, we had a really good response.
