Barley artist takes over Melbourn Hub with new exhibition

There’s still time to view work by a Barley artist whose exhibition at The Hub in Melbourn continues until the end of the month.
Christina Pattison works from her studio at her home in Barley and at the Burloes Farm Studios.
Her work includes a colourful style of painting, textiles and ceramics.
Her style is drawn from her roots in Sweden and life in France, before coming to work and live in Barley.
One of her paintings proudly on display in the exhibition – which started on August 1 – is of Barley village. She also has displays of work at the St Margaret of Antioch church in her home village, and at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
Christina told the Crow: “This is the second time my work has been shown in Melbourn, it’s a really good venue. After this, it will be at the Hertford Theatre.
“I think my work expresses the joyful side of life. It’s worth going to have a look.”
The exhibition will be open until August 31 at The Hub in Melbourn High Street.
