THE A505 is closed northbound after a car drove into the wall of the Baldock tunnel.

Police were called to the tunnel at 3.28pm where a car, thought to be a red BMW, had left the road and collided with the wall. No other vehicles were involved.

The road has been closed Northbound since 3.40pm, and drivers are being advised to avoid the area as rush hour traffic builds.
