Sunhill has also partnered with the SOIL Association and Food for Life to enhance the nursery's garden.

Nursery manager Jan Homewood said: "Learning to cook at a young age is thoroughly enjoyed by the children and is an excellent, engaging way to build basic math skills such as counting eggs or measuring water.

"So far, the children have been busy planting tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and spring onions and have used the new child-safe oven to make shortbread, pizza pockets, banana bread and oat cookies."
