The Garden House Hospice charity shop in Royston is looking for people to volunteer on Saturdays.

Located on High Street, the shop needs two extra pairs of hands - one to help out between 9am and 1pm and one between 1pm and 5pm - every Saturday.

Volunteers will help with sorting stock, serving customers and displaying items for sale.

To find out more and apply, visit www.ghhospicecare.org.uk/shop-assistants or contact the volunteer engagement team on 01462 679540 (option 6).

No retail background is necessary, with 'anyone and everyone' encouraged to apply.

Denise Nicholson, who volunteers in the hospice's nearby Baldock shop, said: "I’ve been volunteering for five years now and I still do it because I get just as much enjoyment out of it.

"It's also nice to feel that you're in some way contributing, that you're giving back."
