Ashwell is welcoming visitors to its annual 'Ashwell at Home' open village event, which returns next month for the 38th year.

The event takes place on Sunday, May 14 from 11am to 5pm, and this year's theme is 'A Day in the Country'.

Alongside a tour of gardens of all shapes and sizes, there will be a range of country-themed activities, displays and talks.

The programme will be announced throughout the day by the town crier, and is available in advance from www.ashwellathome.co.uk.
