Royston Photographic Society has crowned the winners of its latest monochrome competition.

The winner was Peter Baker with his photo of crowds leaving a theatre on the Isle of Wight.

Second place went to Martin Johnson, for his photo of a sanderling bird, while Jim Cromwell - a new member of the society - came in third place with his photo of a sleeping pig's face.

Exhibitions of the club member's photographs have now run their course after the latest museum show was extended, but another exhibition will be held in Royston Tesco in the new year.

Members will also be out and about in Royston in the new year asking for portraits of residents to compile a project on 'The Face of Royston'.

The collection of photos will be included in an archive, which the club is building in partnership with Royston Museum.

In the run up to the Christmas break, members are going on outings to take photos in the barns of a farm, and will also have a chance to take part in a 'scapes' competition.

The landscape group will also go on an outing to Wandlebury.
