THE Cougars' under-15s side travelled to St Neots on Sunday and played out a tough match.

St Neots opened the scoring mid-way through the first half but the Cougars replied when a Ryan Newey header was put away by Jamie Simpson.

The Cougars fell behind on the stroke of half time from a great strike from outside of the area but mid-way through the second half they were level again when Simpson was this time the provider for Newey who scored his second of the season.

The game was heading for a draw with 10 minutes remaining when a St Neots forward was seemingly fouled outside the box only for the referee to point for a penalty which was duly despatched.
