BASSINGBOURN won this match against Baldock 4-3 but the score line does not reflect the match.

Bassingbourn started in a dominant mood and were ahead with a Matthew Lovejoy goal on three minutes.

Further chances were made and it was no surprise when Jordan Townson doubled the lead on 20. By now the home team were coasting and went into the break two goals ahead.

The second half followed the same pattern and Jono Roope made it 3-0 on 45 minutes and the game seemed over but two goals in the space of five minutes by Baldock cut the lead to one.

Jono Roope scored again to give Bassingbourn breathing space and going into the last minute, Baldock cut the arrears to one again and could have gained a draw but the ball came back off the crossbar to give Bassingbourn a 4-3 win.
