THERE was nothing to choose between these two sides for most of this match yet Manuden managed to scrape a 3-2 victory.

On a very heavy pitch the away side adapted better and within the first 15 minutes were two goals ahead.

The lead was soon halved as Jono Roope finished well and with both 'keepers on good form the score remained 2-1 at the break to the visitors.

With the second half in its early stages Manuden increased their lead only for Bassingbourn to again edge closer with a well taken penalty by Jordan Townson after Sean Faillettaz was fouled in the box.

The game finished 3-2, but a mention must go to Elliot Irvine who made his home debut for Bassingbourn and was rightly named man-of-the-match.
